Properties

Cork properties Thermal insulation - the cork cells adhere tightly to each other, thus providing excellent thermal insulation. Thanks to this, it is characterized by a low thermal conductivity coefficient, it does not heat up or cool down. Lightness and flexibility - the cork's dead cells are filled with air, therefore the cork floats on the water and is practically unsinkable. This resilient material is easy to install because it is flexible and does not deform. Vibration reduction - the cork used as a panel underlay not only smoothes the surface but also reduces the noise level by reducing ground vibrations. Protection against moisture - apart from thermal insulation, cork plays an important role in protecting walls against moisture. It does not absorb water, and additionally has antifungal and antibacterial properties. Ecological - obtaining the cork takes place without harm to the plant itself, moreover, after a certain period of time, the individual may be debarked again.
